Regional partner’s conference of the Moscow Helsinki Group
From the 1st to 3rd of September took place a conference involving the regional partners of MHG, held in Sochi (Krasnodarskii region). More than 50 representatives of human rights organisations participated in the event. At the conference discussions were held on the situation of human rights and the development of the human rights movement in Russia. There was also a discussion held regarding joint work in the area of network projects in the coming year. Particular attention was directed to the problem of cooperation with state powers, changes in the tax legislation, and the development of systems of public monitoring.
